Oregon Cellars Winery
(1988-1994)

Oregon Cellars Winery’s first vintage was 1988. The winery was co-owned by Gary Carpenter, and Mike and Merry Fix. The winery and vineyards were located near Cheshire in the southern Willamette Valley.

Both Carpenter and Mike Fix handled the winemaking chores. The winery produced a sparkling wine as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. 18 acres of vineyards were planted with the earliest planted in 1982.

Sparkling wines were sold under the Northern Silk label. All other wines were sold under the Rain Song label. The winery’s address was: 92989 Templeton Dr., Cheshire, Oregon.


 

Fun Fact

It appears that around 1994 Oregon Cellars Winery was discontinued and Mike & Merry Fix carried on the business as Rain Song Vineyards & Winery.
