Pioneering Oregon Vineyards

Zenith Vineyard

The Zenith Vineyard was originally planted in the early 1980’s and was known then as the O’Connor vineyard. In 2002 Tim and Kari Ramey purchased it. Shortly thereafter they started a replanting program due to extensive phylloxera damage to many acres of vines.

The 83-acre vineyard is primarily planted to Pinot Noir with small amounts of Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Tempranillo and Pinot Blanc. The vineyard is located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA with at an elevation of 280-330 feet.

In 2006 the Ramey’s partnered with St. Innocent Winery’s Mark Vlossak to create Zenith Vineyard LLC. Vlossak had no estate vineyards, and he needed a reliable fruit source. A winery was built on the Zenith property where Vlossak made his St. Innocent wines and also Zenith wines.

In 2018 the Zenith Vineyard LLC partnership ended. Vlossak continues making St. Innocent wines and he also planted an estate vineyard. The Ramey’s continue making their well-regarded Zenith wines as well as selling Zenith Vineyard grapes to a number of local Oregon wineries.

A beautiful event center has also been built at Zenith Vineyard and hosts weddings and other events.
