John Bradley Bradley Vineyards
Brothers John and Richard Bradley established Bradley Vineyards in 1983. They planted 30 acres of Riesling, Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer in the west facing hills near Elkton, Oregon. This was a bit of a gamble since the Elkton area was not known at the time as a suitable place to plant grapes. In 2013 the Elkton region was granted its own American Viticulture Area (AVA) status.
From 1983-2000 Bradley Vineyards was primarily a grape grower selling its crop to various Oregon wineries. Then in 2000 the Bradley’s developed their “Bradley Vineyards" label. Their wines were made by River’s Edge Winery also located near Elkton.
John Bradley passed away in 2014 and the Bradley family continues to operate the business.
